Long ago supplies were delivered to this cave at the foot of the cliff to be lifted latter by a chimney to the fortress that used to oversee the region from a privileged position atop the mountain.
But time is invincible and it took the fortress with it leaving the cave and the chimney as the only proof of the fortress existence. Nowadays only thieves and smugglers remember the cave even exists.
The clearing in the woods product of innumerable campsites is perfect to lodge big groups that want to remain unnoticed or unfound in the area and the cave has more than one purpose.
For one the cave serves as place to store goods and refuge of the really bad weather but the really vantage of it is as emergency exit.
